☞ What do writers do when they are not writing?

Now that I have completed writing my first novel, I can relax more. What should I do when I am not writing? Although I love writing, sitting down at the desk in front of a computer every day is not my idea of a fun time. How do I enjoy the fruit of my labor? I spend my free time painting, drawing, drawing with a wood burner pen on wood, crafting, and walking in the park. There is always more to do, but after I check off everything on my to-do list, what’s next?

What do authors do when they are not authoring? They go out and meet their readers! If you are interested in meeting me, I will make myself available for your group. I love to get out of the house to meet new people, visit families and old friends, and explore the cities and other exciting places. Time away from my desk is a much-needed vacation, a way to reward myself for all my diligent work. After working hard every day at home writing, I look forward to leisure time to broaden my horizons, to reconnect with the world. It helps me to visualize my next book. If you are an avid fan of J.R.R. Tolkien’s book, Lord of the Rings, Bilbo Baggins once said, “It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”

If you enjoyed reading my book, contact me through this website. I will be happy to unglue myself from my desk, meet your group, give a reading, and autograph the book!

NOTE: Hopefully, next year, when Covid-19 is not at its peak, I will be able to go out more.
